Chicago-based copywriter in search of new freelance opportunities.
As a writer, I love the challenge of creating simple yet informative and descriptive copy. As an editor, I relish the opportunity to improve yet simplify copy — no punctuation mark too small, no angle too wide. My experience in the editorial world is vast, having worked for everything from magazines and newspapers to content creation agencies and corporations. Just like my experience, my skills are varied and run the gamut from editing and proofreading to writing to content management.
I was a copywriter for the Walgreens health testing team, working closely with designers to create user-friendly experiences so patients can get COVID-19 and flu tests and treatments with ease.

When I joined the Walgreens team in December 2020, I expected the role would mostly be site management. However, much like the unpredictable pandemic, the experience has gone through many changes and iterations. I’m proud of the myriad ways customers can obtain COVID-19 tests today.
As a proofreader at Equator Design, it was my role to ensure that not only did all packaging adhere to brand standards, but met FDA requirements - everything from health claims to nutritional labels to legal language. International clients included Aldi, Sam’s Club, Domino Sugar and Walmart.
Other recent work:
Attention to detail
Meeting brand guidelines
Legal compliance
I’d be happy to talk about opportunities, debate the Oxford comma or learn about what new bands you’re listening to.
